After-Hours Priority Injury Service

Hands UP Rehab offers an After-Hours Priority Injury Service for patients requiring urgent assessment and management of acute upper limb injuries outside normal clinic hours.

 

We understand that injuries don't always happen when clinics are open or appointments are available. Whether you've been injured during sport, at work or around the home, early assessment and appropriate support can help reduce pain, protect healing tissues and support recovery.

 

We commonly assist with:

• Fractures and suspected fractures

• Finger, thumb and wrist injuries

• Tendon and ligament injuries

• Soft tissue sprains and strains

• Sports injuries (including ball-versus-finger injuries)

• DIY and workplace injuries

• Wound care

• Pain management

 

During your appointment, we will assess your injury, provide appropriate treatment, and discuss a personalised management plan. This may include custom splint fabrication, brace fitting, sling fitting, wound care, taping, referral recommendations or communication with your GP, surgeon, workplace, school or sporting club.

 

Appointment duration may vary depending on the nature and complexity of your injury.

Fee

After-Hours Priority Injury Service: $250

This fee includes an urgent consultation with our Accredited Hand Therapist.

Splints, braces, slings, consumables and other products are charged separately.

Full payment is required on the day of your appointment.

 

If your injury occurs during normal clinic hours, we may be able to accommodate you within a standard consultation appointment, subject to availability.
